Be grateful for “one” that makes you smile.

The most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love, and to let it come in.” ~ Morrie Schwartz

I often talk about my babies and friends and dreams and all the things that are important to me (ok, not all but you might be very confused as my head can be a quite a hodgepodge of thoughts at any given time ) but I rarely talk about my husband and love, KSP.  It is actually not my intention to do that today as I also believe that blogging about my spouse is a slippery slope and exploring the wonderful things and sometimes not so wonderful things is not the best thing for our relationship.  But, being that we have been so busy lately and we haven’t seen each other all that much in the busyness of life, as I listened to his voice last night on the phone since he has been out of town, I thought about how no matter what, he can always make me smile (even when we argue which if you are ever frustrated and the person can make you laugh it is wonderful and infuriating at the same time, I am supposed to be mad:)!).  So, as we approach our 4 year anniversary, I just wanted to take a moment to be grateful for him and just him. Not him as my friend, husband, partner, father of my babies, just him.  It is a perfect day to be grateful for someone special in your life.  It doesn’t have to be a person as it can be your pet.  If they make you smile then they are giving you a wonderful gift that helps to make it ‘yournewfavoriteday’.  And to my love KSP, you make each day ‘mynewfavoriteday’.

  1. It’s about time :). Love you too babe . I am proud of everything you are and do. You’re an inspiration and I couldn’t be more proud to be your partner in life.

  2. Aw. ♥ What you described (about the “slippery slope”) sums up why I don’t talk too much about Ba.D. on my blog. There’s some stuff that’s not so pretty and plenty that’s beautiful, but that’s–largely–between him and me. (Every day, I see a little more clearly how touching on something “just this once” never turns into “just this once.” Not really!)
