“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable.” ~ Helen Keller
Thanks to everyone for your kind comments, thoughts, emails, and Facebook posts yesterday. I don’t feel in a place to talk about our appointment yet as I feel a little like this little guy (he seems like he might be having a rough day).
All this said, I know in my heart, if I just put one foot in front of the other, we can turn our family face toward the change so our spirits can be free to overcome and we can continue to make each day ‘ournewfavoriteday.’
How do you keep your spirit nurtured in times of stress and challenge?
Just focus on those blessings of yours and how hard you fought during the fertility process and be thankful you are a mom 🙂 that’s what I do being I was supposed to have kids. Im sorry your heart is heavy. Grieve, eat chocolate, have some wine and peak at them as they sleep tonight as they are blessings. Love you friend. Call me if you need to talk. Xoxo
Thank Y. You are awesome. I just had a glass of vino and chocolate is a great idea:) And yes, you are so right, I did fight and we won’t stop now. xoxo
I find comfort in those who know me, unconditionally love me, and are always have and will always be there.
Thanks katie. Good thing I have people like you:) Love you.
I was struggling with what to say here, but I think Kate hit it: knowing I am loved, and that there are loving hands ready to hold me up until I’m able to stand straight and tall again. *big hugs*
Thanks so much Deborah. While We havef not met, you have been so wonderful and I thank you and so value your thoughtful comments and support. Thank for helping me stay lifted through what seems to be one of my more challenging times. Hugs back to you.
Big hug Shannon. Definately on the wine, chocolate and love from so many around you that love you and support you. And, a long afternoon nap….if you can swing it….does wonders to reinvigorate the spirit.
Thanks so much Audrey. A nap isn’t a bad idea actually since I am in a hotel room on a very rare occasion. Thanks for your lovely words and reminding be just how very lucky I am to have such wonderful people like you in my life. Xoxo
Shannon
May the love and support of your family and friends be like a thousand hands helping to lift the emotional burdens you have to bear.
“I know God will not give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish He didn’t trust me so much.” (Mother Teresa)
Best wishes for you and family
Thanks so much Julianne. It’s so special that you use this quote as I have often thought about using it, but perhaps in my mind had not found the perfect occasion. The amazing thing is, that thanks to people like you it’s the perfect occasion and I feel very blessed that you commented here to wish me these beautiful well wishes and to give a voice to this sentiment that I have wanted to use for so long. Thanks for being one of the hands. It does give me comfort and I appreciate your taking the time to comment and be here.
