When you are laboring for others let it be with the same zeal as if it were for yourself. ~Confucius
As part of the “12 Month Me-Moon Challenge,“ month one, January, was my attempt at taking on the dance phenomenon Zumba! As you might expect it was a mixture of hilarity and fun (laced with embarrassment), and I have the honor of sharing the story today over at Nina Badzin’s Blog. I hope you will come on over and check it out as Nina is quite a talented writer and once you are done laughing at me dancing…pause for the image to settle over you, you can read more about her and browse her fantastic blog which I will be sharing with you all next week in “Mynewfavoriteweek’ly Inspiration” series.
You know what can make today ‘yournewfavoriteday,’ laughing at me Zumba (ing!)
xo.

I went to Zumba classes for awhle and loved it!
BTW I also have twins (grown up now) they were in intensive care, after they were born, for several weeks. It was a dark time, and looking back, I had no one to reach out to. You guys are so so lucky to be able to connect with others in the same situation via the net. I can’t imagine life with out my PC now…
I even try to learn Zumba on lin as there are now no classes where we live 😦
Awww, I love your picture and your blog name. I can’t imagine either what that must have been like. To be honest, at the time I didn’t use online communities or anyone really as it was a very dark time and reading others stories didn’t give me what I needed. That said, it helped my husband tremendously. So I suppose it comes down to coping. That all said, I am so so so glad your twins are grown and well. As for the classes, you can do it in the comfort of your own home, infomercials! 🙂 thanks for coming by and saying hi…I really appreciate it!
I am scared of Zumba and public exercise. Good luck on your new routine!
Lol, yes public exercise is a bit daunting! But doing something for me was quite nice and I roped some friends into going with me so that always helps minimize some of the embarrassment!
Ps. Hope you are feeling a little better since finding out a potential diagnosis for your daughter. It’s so much to take on, especially with everything else you have on your plate, so hopefully since you are visiting (thank you:)) maybe your heart is feeling a little less heavy or at least the coping piece is starting to kick in? Still thinking of you.
I love Zumba! Hope you do too. 😉
