Everyone loves “Call Me, Maybe”

As you are all aware my little Q is obsessed with music and his new fave is the, what I must admit, very catchy tune by Carly Rae Jepsen, “Call Me Maybe.”  Since it’s Monday and this was such a highlight for me at least 20 times yesterday and even more all week, I thought I would share it with you. It takes about 30 seconds for him to really warm up (thankfully you can hear me to tide you over:)), but you can actually distinguish him saying the last word of every sentence to the beat (which we all … Continue reading Everyone loves “Call Me, Maybe”

The journey to get to ‘mynewfavoriteday’ as a Google video…

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style” — Maya Angelou I guess this is my attempt at putting some “style” into ‘mynewfavoriteday’ outside of references to fashion and shoes!  I have posted this on my Facebook profile, but I also wanted to post it here so it can live in the heart of where it belongs, in the blog: It’s only :35 seconds but it captures our journey in a unique way that led me to the creation of mynewfavoriteday and I … Continue reading The journey to get to ‘mynewfavoriteday’ as a Google video…
